New York Jets 2018 NFL Draft tracker and highlights: The Jets traded up in the 2018 NFL Draft. Who will be their new franchise QB of the future?

The New York Jets spent a lot of draft capital to move up into the top three picks of the 2018 NFL Draft. That didn’t stop them from bringing back veteran quarterback Josh McCown at $10 million and also taking a flier on Teddy Bridgewater.

The Jets didn’t hit many home runs this year in free agency, but their offseason has the potential to take a drastic turn in the right direction if they are able to secure a quarterback that can finally provide them some stability for the future.

The Jets head into the 2018 NFL Draft with a total of six selections, one in every round except the second. That’s the price they paid to move up just three spots with the Indianapolis Colts for the right to pick third overall.

The last time the Jets took a quarterback in the first round was in 2009 when they traded up for USC quarterback Mark Sanchez, who wasn’t the long-term answer but did help the Jets to a short bit of prominence in the AFC East.

Here’s a quick look at the Jets’ most pressing needs ahead of the 2018 NFL Draft, as well as a quick recap of some of their key free agency/trade moves…
