Houston Texans 2018 NFL Draft tracker and highlights. How will the Texans follow up their exciting free agency with the NFL Draft?

The Houston Texans have a franchise quarterback, some exciting pieces on offense, and star power on defense.

For the franchise quarterback, however, they paid the price.

I don’t think they’ll regret it.

The Texans traded up in the 2017 NFL Draft for Clemson’s DeShaun Watson, and it was a move that likely saved a number of jobs including that of head coach Bill O’Brien.

Watson suffered a season-ending ACL injury, and the Texans in general were victims of the injury bug last season, resulting in the fourth worst record in the league.

It was insult on top of injury that Houston’s first round pick — which was traded to the Browns during last year’s draft — ended up being a top four selection, but that wasn’t all.

The Texans also paid the Browns a second round pick in this year’s draft to take Brock Osweiler’s contract off their hands, which they did, so Houston doesn’t have any selections until day three of the draft.

But once day three hits, they will be able to do some damage.

The Texans have three picks in the draft’s third round, and a high fourth round pick. They don’t have a ton of pressing roster holes left to fill, but there are a number of areas the Texans could look to address with the high picks they do have.

Here’s a quick look at their team needs, a recap of their offseason moves, and their 2018 NFL Draft selections as they roll in.
