2021 NFL Draft: The SEC is back in this 2-round mock draft
2021 NFL Draft: The SEC is back and loading up this two-round mock draft.
The 2021 NFL Draft was looking at one point like it could be a bunch of major shots in the dark.
The uncertainty surrounding the 2020 college football season cast a huge shadow over the 2021 NFL Draft, and there was a time during the offseason when it seemed like we might have to start thinking about what the 2021 NFL Draft could look like if there was no college football in 2020 at all.
Some star players have opted out for 2020, some have already taken the field, and others are now deciding to opt back in with the Big Ten and PAC 12 now returning to play in October/November.
With everything taken into consideration, the fact that college football is being played in 2020 is nothing short of miraculous and as football fans, we should all be extremely grateful for it.
As is typically the case, the primary focus of the 2021 NFL Draft will have a heavy emphasis on the quarterback position, starting with the likely top pick Trevor Lawrence. There seem to be a few NFL teams already vying for Lawrence’s services.
Even if teams are unable to get their hands on Lawrence, there two other players in Justin Fields and Trey Lance who could contend for top-five status. The list of QB-needy teams, as is typically the case, is not overly short.
The SEC is back in action this weekend, meaning more prospects are going to have chances to prove their worth.
This two-round mock draft (put together using The Draft Network’s mock draft simulator) features many SEC players who have already shown themselves to be top-flight talents, but others could soon join them.
With a couple of trades for QBs mixed in, here is one look at how the 2021 NFL Draft could look and where star prospects could land.
