Oklahoma. Creed Humphrey. 48. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. IOL. 20. player

The first season of the Tom Brady era does not go particularly well for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in this Madden sim. The Bucs were able to sneak into the playoffs, but lost right away in the Wild Card round. Taking a long-term quarterback would make some sense here, as would an edge rusher in case they lose Shaq Barrett. However, the Bucs instead take a best player available approach at a more minor position of need by adding interior offensive lineman Creed Humphrey.

Humphrey has been a two-year starter at center for Oklahoma and has quickly grown into one of the top interior offensive linemen in the nation. He is a tough and aggressive offensive lineman who fires off of the ball quickly, always maintains great leverage and shows strong overall hand usage.

Humphrey shows impressive on-field awareness and appears to understand blocking assignments well. He does a great job of always finding work in pass protection and does a great job of recognizing stunts and blitzes.

Whether the Bucs draft Humphrey as an immediate starter at guard or as the eventual replacement to Ryan Jensen at center, he could quickly come in and be an immediate contributor for the team. Nice fit for a team that is clearly in win-now mode.
