To help you get ready for the upcoming quarterback class, we created a top ten list of quarterbacks available in the 2020 NFL Draft. Tua Tagovailoa comes in here at No. 2 overall.

Over the last nine days, I’ve explored the history and playing styles of the best quarterbacks available in the 2020 NFL Draft. On my list of the top ten quarterbacks, I’ve thoroughly laid out the background of each individual player. I’ve watched hours of film on each prospect and attempted to rank these young players to the best of my ability, based on which order I suspect they will be drafted.

Posted below are the players on this list we have made it through so far:

10) Nate Stanley- Iowa
9) Shea Patterson- Michigan
8) Jacob Eason- Washington
7) Jalen Hurts- Oklahoma
6) Jake Fromm- Georgia
5) Anthony Gordon- Washington State
4) Jordan Love- Utah State
3) Justin Herbert- Oregon
2) Tua Tagovailoa- Alabama

Each one of these young men showed something on film during their college careers that stood out to me and showed me they could play in the NFL.

The problem with ranking the leading quarterbacks coming into the NFL is that so many of them are good. College football has been pumping out more and more pro-ready quarterbacks over the last decade. With high school players enrolling in quarterback camps and seven-on-seven training during the offseason, the talent level of NFL Draft prospects has skyrocketed in recent years. They come out of college better prepared to take on the minutiae of being a professional quarterback in the NFL.

All the quarterbacks I reviewed on this top ten list are talented and will most likely get a chance to play in the NFL one day. They may play as back-ups or practice squad players, but they will be playing football for a living. The margin between some of these players is very small and given the right circumstances could thrive in the NFL.

Except for the quarterback I have as the number one quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft. This player will come into the NFL as the clear frontrunner of the group.

Unless you’ve been living on Mars for the last six months, number one on this list should be obvious. LSU starting quarterback Joe Burrow is hands down the number one quarterback on this top 10 list.

A relative unknown outside of Metairie, Louisiana before the 2018 season started, Burrow has forced his way into the top quarterback conversations for this year’s draft. Armed with an exceptional core of talented playmakers, Burrow was able to lead the LSU Tigers on a historic run in 2019. Undefeated in the regular season, Burrow led the team to the College Football National Championship game. He would face down the previous years champion Clemson and their babyface quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Burrow’s journey to the top was the biggest sports story of 2019. Click Next below to read about the background of Burrow and what led him to the 2020 NFL Draft.
