To help you get ready for the upcoming quarterback class, we created a top ten list of quarterbacks available in the 2020 NFL Draft.

As the Super Bowl is now firmly in the history books, the time to really get down to draft work has begun for all 32 NFL franchises. The NFL season never sleeps and rarely slumbers.

With Pro Days and the Combine coming up, several NFL team’s scouts and general managers will be watching the quarterbacks in this years class extra closely as the 2020 NFL Draft approaches.

The quarterback is the most important position on any NFL team. While receivers, running backs and cornerbacks can heavily influence the trajectory of a game, only a competent quarterback can lead a team to success year after year.

Unfortunately for most fanbases, it isn’t so easy to see which quarterbacks in college will become elite in the NFL. Some quarterbacks look like stars in college, only to become mediocre against better defenses in the league. Other quarterbacks look average in college but have the potential to become an MVP once in the NFL.

No matter what, every quarterback that had success in the NFL showed signs in college that indicated they could become great one day. Look no further than Tom Brady, who was overlooked until the sixth round.

In the upcoming days, we will be releasing our top 10 quarterbacks in the 2020 NFL Draft. Each day, we will be reviewing a different quarterback that will be available this April. Whether they won a national title or had a losing record, these quarterbacks showed signs in college that indicated they should be drafted this year.

In these articles, we will be reviewing their background: their history, how they got recruited and what their time in college was like. Afterward, we’ll go into a film analysis of the player: how they threw, what their mechanics were like, what they did well and didn’t do well. And finally, we’ll make a draft prediction for them, teams that fit their style, where in the draft they could be selected and what role they can expect to take once there.

In this article, we’ll explore Michigan Wolverine quarterback Shea Patterson. Ranked ninth in our top ten, Patterson has not been highly regarded in draft circles for the 2020 NFL Draft. Patterson showed to be inconsistent while in college, but there are extenuating circumstances that can explain some of Patterson’s issues while in Michigan. Plus, Patterson did show at times the last two seasons things that will be intriguing for NFL Scouts.

Patterson comes in as the ninth-best quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft, just ahead of Nate Stanley, who was ranked at No. 10. To keep up with our Top Ten quarterbacks in the 2020 NFL Draft, check back tomorrow with NFL Mocks for the next quarterback on our list.
