Pick Analysis. Auburn. player. 32. Scouting Report. DT. Derrick Brown. 14

The Arizona Cardinals are another team that would love to find some offensive line help in the 2020 NFL Draft. Arizona needs to find a way to protect Kyler Murray better, but that help is not coming in the first round of this mock draft. Instead, they look to build from inside out on the other side of the field.

Derrick Brown is the single-best interior defensive lineman in the 2020 NFL draft class. This guy is an absolute monster on the inside who gets off of the ball quickly and shows an impressive combination of length, power and athleticism in the middle.

Brown uses his length extremely well to keep opposing offensive linemen off of his body. He fires a powerful and accurate punch and keeps consistent leverage by using great pad level. Brown is also an impressive one-gap penetrator who gets off of the ball quickly, gets skinny through the line of scrimmage and is in the backfield before the offensive line even knows what happened.

Simply put, Derrick Brown is a dynamic playmaker up front who would immediately be a game-changer for the Cardinals defensive unit. Getting an offensive player to help Murray grow would be ideal, but the Cardinals still find themselves a great player who can make an impact for their team.
