San Antonio Commanders: Dustin Vaughan

College: West Texas A&M

AAF coach: Mike Riley

Vaughan was the third overall pick in the AAF quarterback draft after his NFL career bouncing around with the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Baltimore Ravens.

Vaughan is a 6-foot-5, 235-pound gunslinger with some high expectations in San Antonio after his time in Dallas flamed out.

Vaughan will get coaching from former Oregon State, San Diego Chargers, and Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach Mike Riley, who has been around the game for a really long time.

Riley has also been a head coach in the CFL, so he’s really seen it all.

This combination has a lot of die-hard Cowboys fans excited, but Vaughan has a lot to prove after some big hype when he was in the NFL and underwhelming on-field performance when he got chances in preseason play.
