Salt Lake Stallions: Josh Woodrum

College: Liberty

AAF coach: Dennis Erickson

Josh Woodrum was an undrafted free agent out of Liberty following the 2016 NFL Draft by the New York Giants.

The Giants kept Woodrum through minicamp but let him go after that, and he was claimed by the Colts.

After his stint with the Colts, Woodrum signed with the Chicago Bears’ practice squad.

After less than a month with the Bears, he signed a reserve/future deal with the Buffalo Bills, which lasted through Bills’ minicamp. He was given a shot with the Baltimore Ravens in training camp before the 2017 season, and when he got the chance to play, he looked really good completing 25-of-36 passes with four touchdowns.

The Ravens ultimately didn’t keep him but he got claimed off waivers by the Browns, who kept him for less than a week.

The Ravens picked him back up again, and spent the entire 2018 offseason there.

The Salt Lake Stallions made Woodrum their first-round pick in the AAF quarterback draft, and this is a sleeper right here. This is a guy who showed well in preseason play and looks like he’s going to really benefit from extended on-field reps.

If there’s a player who could emerge as a dark horse at QB from this league, it’s Woodrum.
