It doesn't get much better than what the New York Giants did in the 2025 NFL Draft. They got arguably the best player in the draft and a potential generational talent in Abdul Carter with the No. 3 overall pick, traded back into the first round to grab their future franchise quarterback in Jaxson Dart, and kicked off day three by selecting electrifying running back Cam Skattebo in the fourth round.

Below is a complete list of the Giants' picks and how they project as rookies in 2025:

Round 1, Pick No. 3 - Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State: The big question heading into the draft was, would the Giants go quarterback at No. 3, or would they take the best player available? The answer was the latter, and they got one of the top players in the draft, Abdul Carter. The term "generational talent" gets thrown around quite a bit, but Carter has the potential to be just that

2025 prediction: Carter figures to start immediately at outside linebacker and contend for defensive rookie of the year. Playing alongside Kayvon Thibodeaux, Dexter Lawrence II, and Brian Burns, Carter will likely take this defense to the next level in one of the toughest divisions in football.

The New York Giants got a quarterback!

Round 1, Pick No. 25 - Jaxson Dart, QB, Mississippi: With only one quarterback off the board and the first round fading to a close, the Giants decided to trade back into the first round and select their quarterback of the future in Jaxson Dart. At 21 years old, there's no rush to throw him into the fire, but with his arm talent and mobility, he has the potential to be the best quarterback from this draft class

2025 prediction: The Giants brought in two more-than-capable bridge quarterbacks in Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this offseason. Regardless of who gets the nod, it's hard to see Dart playing in 2025, barring any unforeseen circumstances (short of mop-up duty). He'll get at least one year to learn before taking the reins.

Round 3, Pick No. 65 - Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo: Piggybacking off the Carter pick in the first round, the Giants made another move to address the defensive front, this time in the interior with the 6-4, 305-pound space eater Alexander. After signing Roy Robertson-Harris in free agency, it was the Giants' second move to address the interior defensive line.

2025 prediction: Alexander has a chance to make an impact immediately, learning the ropes from the veteran Robertson-Harris. With the number of eyes and bodies Carter will get on him, things should open up in the middle for Alexander and co. to get after the quarterback and also stop the run.

The most interesting rookie

Round 4, Pick No. 105 - Cam Skattebo RB Arizona State: As soon as Skattebo lit the world on fire in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl - rushing for 143 yards and two touchdowns, catching eight passes for 99 yards and throwing a 42-yard touchdown pass - it became known that he would be one of the most popular draft picks. The Giants hit the jackpot by taking him early on day three, and he's a potential steal in the fourth round. Bruising yet electrifying, Skattebo is a little bit of Mike Alstott/Jerome Bettis blended with Christian McCaffrey.

2025 prediction: It will be hard to keep Skattebo off the field as a rookie, but still look for Tyrone Tracy Jr. to be the starter unless Skattebo channels his inner Peach Bowl immediately. Skattebo and Devin Singletary will compete for carries, but in the long term, look for Skattebo to play his way into the starter role.

Round 5, Pick No. 154 - Marcus Mbow, OT, Purdue: The Giants continued their well-rounded draft by addressing the offensive line with the versatile Mbow. With 32 starts between right guard and right tackle, Mbow gives the Giants flexibility on where they can play him.

2025 prediction: With his ability to play either guard or tackle, don't be surprised if Mbow gets some playing time as a rookie. Once he fits into his true position, we'll see if he moves to guard or tackle full-time.

It's all about value on Day 3

Round 7, Pick No. 219 - Thomas Fidone II, TE, Nebraska: In the seventh round, you're looking for value and someone who will fight for their spot. In Fidone II, the Giants got someone who fought back from back-to-back ACL injuries to end his collegiate career on a productive note. At 6-5, 243 with a 4.7 40-yard dash, Fidone brings good size and decent speed to impact the passing game.

2025 prediction: As a seventh-round pick, Fidone II is a prime prospect for the practice squad. However, the Giants will be looking for more production than the 456 yards combined between their top two tight ends in 2024. So, playing time could be up for grabs.

Round 7, Pick No. 246 - Korie Black, CB, Oklahoma State: Last but certainly not least, the Giants addressed the defensive backfield to close the draft. A unit that ranked in the top 10 in passing defense a year ago, it wasn't necessarily a need. But Black gives them more depth as they look to take the defense to the next level.

2025 prediction: Black looks to be a member of the Giants practice squad, but with his 6-0, 192-pound frame, he brings good size and good upside to be a productive member of the team potentially.
