The NFL playoffs are just heating up and so are NFL Mock Drafts everywhere. With both the college football season and NFL season headed towards big finales, the 2025 NFL Draft is set to take center stage as top prospects begin their journey to fill team’s biggest needs.
Where it be NFL Pro Days or the NFL Combine, all 32 teams will be savoring to get their draft big board’s set. This will be when the scouting reports enter final drafts. This is where trade rumors start swirling as draft capital and which player will go No. 1 overall hit the spotlight.
In this NFL Divisional round edition of NFL Mocks’ 2025 NFL Mock Draft, teams stand pat and select based on their biggest positional needs at the end of their season.
Imagine a 2025 NFL Draft with no trades!
If you are a betting man or woman, you can bet on trades impacting the first round of the draft as far as draft position. The big question once the Super Bowl LIX confetti falls will be whether the Tennessee Titans hold onto that No. 1 draft selection. As quarterback needs always tend to dominate the top 10, multiple teams could be clamoring to draft either Miami’s Cameron Ward or Colorado’s Sheduer Sanders. There will be trades, but what if all 32 teams stood pat and drafted strictly based on their top positional need?
Let’s get on the clock!
The Titans could trade this pick for a massive haul of draft picks to revamp the franchise. But, if they stay pat at No. 1, they get the best quarterback in the draft by selecting Miami’s Cameron Ward. With the success of Jayden Daniels, the Titans will hope to strike gold with their own dual-threat QB. With Tony Pollard at running back and Calvin Ridley at receiver, Ward will have weapons around him in Tennessee. The next point of emphasis for the Titans is to continue to strengthen their offensive line.
The Browns biggest need is suddenly quarterback, but let’s assume they add a veteran QB (Kirk Cousins or Sam Darnold) in free agency to lead a playoff caliber roster. While offensive line is also a huge need, grabbing the top edge rusher in the draft in Abdul Carter to play alongside Myles Garrett. The Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year is a disrupter and game-changer on defense and instantly helps make the Browns’ defense a scary factor in the AFC North.
The Giants say thank you Browns! The GMEN get their QB with the selection of Shedeur Sanders with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The fascination here is a Sanders to Malik Nabers connection that could make the Giants offense an exciting one in the NFC East. Like the Titans with the selection of Cam Ward, the Giants will be leaning on Sanders to rival the success of CJ Stroud and Daniels as a dual-threat QB who can spark the team into the playoffs Year 1.
While offensive playmakers are a huge need for the Patriots, it starts on the offensive line. Protect Drake Maye at all costs which means protecting his blind side with LSU’s Will Campbell. The big, powerful offensive tackle won’t solve the issues along the offensive line immediately but adding him helps the Patriots get more consistent in their weakest area of need. With a ton of cap space, look for the Patriots to land a couple of impact players at wide receiver and at the EDGE position.
The 2024 Heisman Trophy winner falls in the lap of the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 5. With this pick, the Jaguars get their cornerback and another offensive weapon for Trevor Lawrence. His elite athleticism will shine in Duval County and will help bring life back into a Jaguars team that has gone backwards since making a playoff run just two seasons ago.
The Raiders will do everything to move up and select either Ward or Sanders but will end up stunning the draft with the selection of Jalen Milroe. This Mock draft is about biggest needs, and the Raiders will gamble here to fill their need at QB. While Milroe could fall to the second round, Vegas nabs the Alabama QB at No. 6 because of rumors the New Orleans Saints at No. 9 are peeping selecting a top 3 QB prospect in this draft.
The Jets once again are a favorite of NFL Mocks to land the Michigan defensive lineman. In Mason Graham, the Jets instantly improve their run defense and add another player along the defensive line who can get after the quarterback. The Jets will have other needs to address, mainly finding their new head coach, but selecting Graham will have the fanbase feeling optimistic depending on how free agency goes.
The Panthers have gone from a team in big need of a quarterback to a team looking to add weapons around second year QB Bryce Young. Talk about patience in a young QB, the Panthers are optimistic about the emergence of Young towards the end of the season and gets him a top wide receiver in Tetairoa McMillan. In McMillan, the Panthers get a big, outside target who is a defensive nightmare for cornerbacks due to his big body and route running ability. Get ready for the Young to McMillan connection in the NFC South.
The biggest need for the Saints could end up being quarterback, but building the offensive line continues to be a big need. How better to fill that need than the massive adding the massive Kelvin Banks Jr to anchor the O-line alongside 2024 first round pick Taliese Fuaga. With two talented young tackles, the Saints are in position to solidify the line as a strength going into the 2025 NFL season.
The Bears fuel their defensive with the selection of the second-best pass rush prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft. In Georgia’s Mykel Williams, the Bears get a versatile defender who can get after the quarterback and defend the run. As a strong, physical player, Williams should help the Bears’ defense become a big factor in the NFC North.
