25. Buffalo Bills: DeMarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M

Pick Analysis. Texas A&M. player. Scouting Report. DT. DeMarvin Leal. 25. 16

The Buffalo Bills aren’t set to lose much this offseason, but what they could lose seems to all be on the defensive side of the ball, specifically the line. On the inside both Harrison Phillips and Vernon Butler could become free agents. On the edge, Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison will hit the market.

The Bills did a good job of assembling depth on their line, which played a big role in their success. Losing so many pieces could push them to return to this group for the 2022 NFL Draft, and more specifically in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

At 6-foot-4 290, DeMarvin Leal has the frame to be a force in the NFL, but are the skills there? His college stats at Texas A&M would say so. Leal played in 33 games over his three years at A&M and showed his ability each season. In total, he logged 25 tackles for loss and 13 sacks over those three seasons. He even dropped back into coverage for an interception and five passes defended.

If Buffalo isn’t able to return all their pieces on the defensive line, then they’ll need to invest in new talent there. Leal is a steady prospect with stats that could be intriguing for a contender like the Bills.
