26. Tennessee Titans: Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah

26. player. Pick Analysis. Utah. Devin Lloyd. Scouting Report. LB. 35

The Tennessee Titans’ defense isn’t set to lose much this offseason to free agency. However, nearly every single player that could leave is a linebacker. The list of pending free agents includes Rashaan Evans, Harold Landry, Jayon Brown and others. While some of them could come back, resigning all of them could be difficult.

If the Titans do in fact need linebackers, then they are in luck in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft with this pick and Devin Lloyd. Lloyd was all over the field for Utah over the last three seasons and put up near video game numbers when you consider how much he was able to do.

The obvious baseline for Lloyd is his tackling ability. Over the last three seasons he played in 33 games and totaled 250 tackles. That’s an average of over 7.5 tackles per game. With that average he was able to tally 111 in 2021 alone.

Lloyd also made it into the backfield. A lot. Using those same three seasons, he totaled 43 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks with 22 tackles for loss and seven sacks coming during the 2021 campaign.

Oh, and he can cover. During the 2021 season, Lloyd had four interceptions, two for touchdowns, and six passes defended.

Lloyd can quite literally do it all. He can blitz, he can cover, he can tackle. It’s amazing he’s still available here, but linebacker is a position that could get pushed down boards this year.
