23. Cleveland Browns: Kingsley Enagbare, Edge Rusher, South Carolina

The Cleveland Browns have emerged as a legitimate Super Bowl contender in the AFC. They have one of the most complete rosters in the entire league, and this past draft solidified their defense as one of the deepest units. One of the best additions they made this offseason was signing Jadeveon Clowney to a one-year, $8 million deal. The duo of Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney have terrorized quarterbacks all season.

A popular selection for Cleveland to take in mock drafts is one of the top wide receivers in this year’s class. Taking a wide receiver could make sense because it is very likely that one if not both of Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry will not on the team next season. However, even if they aren’t on the team the wide receiver position isn’t extremely valuable to the Browns offense under Kevin Stefanski. This season the defensive end position opposite Myles Garrett became a valuable part of this team and they could very well lose Clowney this offseason.

If Clowney was to leave Cleveland, the Browns could replace him with another pass rusher from his alma mater South Carolina. Kingsley Enagbare has emerged as a potential first-round prospect.   He has been an outstanding pass rusher this season and the selection here in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. This is a dream scenario for Enagbare to play across from and also learn from Myles Garrett.

If Jadeveon Clowney leaves Cleveland in free agency the Browns need to make sure that they replace him with a pass rusher of similar talent or takes one with their first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
