2022 NFL Draft: Aggies OL Kenyon Green the next great guard

Green is Dominant in Pass Protection

In terms of pass protection, Kenyon Green is fantastic. It starts with his good stance and how he stays balanced with good pad level. He has very good pop in his hands and has an excellent anchor. Green rarely gives up ground, and he does a great job staying active with his hands to reset them when his initial strike and placement is off. His power in his hands comes in handy when working laterally to mirror rushers, and when his footwork is a little late, he can overcome it. Defenders won’t get around him in either gap to his sides.

Green has very good vision, and recognizes stunts quickly and reacts incredibly well. He stays aggressive when this happens and attacks the stunting defender. Green also stays active in looking for work when he doesn’t have a man in front of him.

In the run game, Green has very good initial quickness out of his stance and shows great explosion when he’s asked to pull. He displays the ability to be a finisher and can get defenders on the ground when he pulls. Green also flashes the ability to turn defenders inside and maintain good leverage when running backs kick outside. Green can chip and climb in inside zone concepts as well to open holes and spring big runs.
