2022 NFL Mock Draft: QBs go 1-2, Defense Dominates Top 10
It’s the Jets turn once again in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, and this pick comes courtesy of the Seattle Seahawks from the Jamal Adams trade. The Jets have build a strong young foundation, especially on offense. The Becton/Vera-Tucker duo on the left side of the line could be a very special one, and if Wilson learns to play more within structure and locate open receivers over the middle, he can have a good year.
The defense has some great pieces, including Thibodeaux, who was obviously added in this mock. Thibodeaux gives them a great rusher, but what about a secondary that features Marcus Maye on the back end and not much else?
There’s hope for Bryce Hall to get back to where he was pre-injury from college, but he’s still a work in progress development-wise. Luckily, the corner group looks incredibly deep in the 2022 NFL Draft, and the Jets select Derion Kendrick here.
Kendrick has continued to improve, and was very good in his final season with Clemson before he was dropped from the team. Transferring to Georgia will only help his stock, and the Jets get a good young player for the foundation of the secondary here to hopefully become a lockdown coverage man.
