2022 NFL Mock Draft: QBs go 1-2, Defense Dominates Top 10
The Dallas Cowboys are likely to be contending for the NFC East in the 2021 season, thanks to a juggernaut on the offensive side of the football. Dak Prescott is set to return from his ankle injury, and CeeDee Lamb looks ready to challenge Amari Cooper for WR1 in the offense. Ezekiel Elliott looks more trim this season, and Tyron Smith looks healthy and ready to rock.
The defense should get a bit of a boost from rookie Micah Parsons, who can do everything, from rush the passer to key in on the running game and make plays in the backfield. Corner might be a bit of a struggle, but if Kelvin Joseph and Trevon Diggs are the starters, there is plenty of swagger and ball skills between the two.
Safety might be the Cowboys undoing this season, and could render their upgrades in the secondary useless. Looking to the 2022 NFL Draft might ease the concern, as the Cowboys winning window isn’t going anywhere.
Brandon Joseph would be an interesting selection for the Cowboys, and he’s the pick in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft. Joseph tracks the football very well and secures interceptions when they come his way. He has the ability to play single high thanks to his range, and flashes excellent movement skills. He could be the missing piece for this defense.
