With all that has transpired in the 2021 offseason, it’s been anything but easy for Green Bay Packers fans to relax. Aaron Rodgers wants out of town, and although the return could be great if general manager Brian Gutekunst decides to make a move, who wants to be the guy that traded Aaron Rodgers?

Now that both Peyton Manning and Tom Brady have won Super Bowls in the later years of their career on new teams, Rodgers would no longer be an outlier but part of somewhat of a trend in the NFL nowadays.

Rodgers’ stance has not changed — he doesn’t want to be back with the Green Bay Packers. This has paved the way for Jordan Love to take valuable reps all offseason and for the Packers to potentially see a glimpse of their future, both immediate and down the road.

Whatever ends up happening with Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers have clearly made contingency plans and have four additional quarterbacks under contract for the 2021 season.

Green Bay Packers: Rodgers trade the tip of the iceberg?

Rodgers would be the biggest NFL star to be traded possibly ever. There’s not much precedence for the league MVP changing teams the season after winning the award. Even the acquisitions of Peyton Manning by the Denver Broncos and Tom Brady by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers brought along with them some inherent risk, especially with Manning coming off of five neck procedures in 2011.

Rodgers is healthy, and although he might be a “complicated fella” he’s the NFL MVP. Trading him would be very difficult to do no matter how much bad blood there is between the front office and their star QB.

Even if Rodgers isn’t traded, the Green Bay Packers could have a number of big-name players on the move in the 2021 offseason, whether they are traded or just cut.

Here are five.
