2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 17th overall

Player Bio. Pick Analysis. Oklahoma State. 17. 28. OT. Teven Jenkins. player

The Las Vegas Raiders have had one of the most baffling offseasons of any team in the NFL. In particular, their dismantling of the offensive line simply did not make any sense. The offensive line was the strength of the Raiders’ offense in recent years and now they will have to almost completely re-work it. Expect the Raiders to address a need on their offensive line in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Teven Jenkins stands out as a fantastic target for the Raiders and a player who would specifically appeal to their style of play. Jenkins is arguably the most naturally powerful offensive lineman in this draft class, exploding off of the ball in an instant and firing into the defender with incredible power at the point of attack.

He is an extremely tough and physical player who is always looking to humiliate the opposing defender. He consistently drives big and strong defenders down the field and is always playing through the whistle. Jenkins lacks ideal quickness up front but uses his aggressive style of play to his advantage in pass protection. His ability to get his hands on the pass rusher quickly to control the rep is a positive in his game.

Jon Gruden and the Raiders have consistently valued tough and physical players across the board. Jenkins certainly fits the bill in that department and could come in and make an immediate impact for the team, filling a hole at the right tackle position.
