Jacksonville Jaguars mock draft: Round 2, 45th overall

815. Pick Analysis. EDGE. Oklahoma. Ronnie Perkins. Scouting Report. 2. player

After loading up the offense with a couple of impact players in the first round, the Jaguars turn their attention to the defensive side of the ball with the selection of Ronnie Perkins here in the second.

Perkins has arguably the most powerful hands out of any edge rusher in this draft class. He is quick off of the ball and does a great job of using his hands to stun the opposing offensive lineman. He does a fantastic job of keeping blockers away from his body and shows tremendous natural block shed ability as both a run defender and pass rusher.

While Perkins is a power-based player, he also shows some nice explosion on the edge. He displays an impressive first step and even a bit of bend around the edge. Simply put, he is a rock-solid defensive lineman who can impact the game in a variety of ways up front.

Jacksonville Jaguars mock draft: Round 3, 65th overall

3. player. Scouting Report. Northern Iowa. OT. Spencer Brown. 52. Pick Analysis

The Jaguars placed the franchise tag on starting left tackle Cam Robinson earlier this offseason, securing their offensive tackle situation for next season. That being said, the position could certainly be looked at as a long-term need. In the third round of this mock draft, the Jaguars address this long-term need with the selection of Spencer Brown.

Brown is an extremely athletic offensive tackle prospect who knows how to use his athletic ability as a strength in pass protection and as a run blocker. He is quick off of the ball and shows smooth movement skills in space. Brown attacks the second level with ease and moves his feet extremely well as a pass blocker.

Brown also displays ideal arm length at the offensive tackle position and shows tremendous natural grip strength. He is a bit of a raw prospect but his long-term upside is absolutely massive. the Jags could select Brown and develop him into an eventual starter at either offensive tackle position.
