Unless they can peel Deshaun Watson away from the Houston Texans, the Miami Dolphins are extremely unlikely to move away from Tua Tagovailoa this offseason. They have the capital to properly build a strong team around Tua and would be wise to move in that direction this offseason. However, the quarterback market is white-hot and that could easily lead to a bidding war for the No. 3 overall pick.

In this 2021 NFL mock draft, the Dolphins put their pick up for sale and the Carolina Panthers come calling. It is no secret that the Panthers are aggressively looking for a franchise quarterback this offseason and they trade into the spot to land their guy here.

2021 NFL mock draft: Round 1, 3rd overall

Pick Analysis. Ohio State. player. 87. Scouting Report. QB. Justin Fields. 3

Justin Fields feels like the prospect who is constantly getting over-evaluated this offseason. He entered last season neck-and-neck with Trevor Lawrence, had a great season at Ohio State and now seems to have slipped down the board a bit. Make no mistake about it, Justin Fields is an incredible quarterback prospect who is worthy of being targeted in an aggressive trade-up scenario like this.

Fields is a big and strong quarterback who also shows impressive dual-threat ability. He has a big arm that he uses to throw beautiful deep balls down the field and is also a dynamic playmaker as a runner. Fields has a combination of speed and power that will be dangerous at the next level, especially when paired with his fantastic ability as a passer.

Fields displays tremendous natural arm talent and pinpoint accuracy to all levels of the field. He undoubtedly has massive upside at the next level and would be a perfect player for Carolina to build their offensive attack around.
