2021 NFL Draft: Alabama sets first-round pick record in 2-round mock draft

2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 29th overall
While a lot of people are predicting the Green Bay Packers to go with a wide receiver here, I think the team is happy with Davante Adams and either Allen Lazard or Marquez Valdes-Scantling as their starting wide receivers going into the 2021 season. The Packers would also be wise to address their need on the defensive line with this pick, as the only standout on Green Bay’s defensive line is Kenny Clark.
In my latest seven-round mock draft I did for the Green Bay Packers, I had them taking Daviyon Nixon with the pick, and he is still my pick for them in this mock draft. Nixon would give the Packers an athletic pass rusher defensive lineman who put up strong numbers in college. In Nixon’s first year as a starter for the Hawkeyes, he posted 13.5 tackles and 5.5 sacks.
Nixon would be an ideal fit in the Packers 3-4 defense as a defensive end. This is because he has both the size and quickness to make this switch. He would likely be a day one starter which would make this a great value pick for Green Bay.
