2021 NFL mock draft: Round 5, 160th overall

South Carolina. WR. Shi Smith. 5. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 850

The Buffalo Bills will likely have other positions to prioritize over wide receiver this offseason but Shi Smith simply stands out as too great of a value to ignore in this range. Smith was a four-year contributor in college who is coming off of a season where he hauled in 57 receptions for 633 yards and four touchdowns.

He is a smooth and quick receiver who shows great release skills at the line of scrimmage and has a knack for getting open in the middle of the field. He is a physical wide receiver prospect who can shine in contested-catch situations and shows some nice upside as a run-after-catch playmaker. If nothing else, Smith would provide nice Cole Beasley security for the Buffalo Bills.

2021 NFL mock draft: Round 5, 173rd overall

814. Scouting Report. TE. Georgia. player. Pick Analysis. Tre' McKitty. 5

Dawson Knox has played well for the Bills, quickly becoming a reliable blocker and solid target in the middle of the field for Josh Allen. That being said, the team could certainly use some depth at the tight end position and it is not like Knox is a premier player at the position. Taking a shot on some upside late at the tight end position would certainly make some sense for Buffalo.

Tre’ McKitty did not make much of an impact as a receiver in his first and only season at Georgia, but he is a well-rounded player who certainly has a chance to make an impact at the next level. McKitty is a smooth and athletic tight end prospect who moves well in space. He shows good short-area quickness and even has some deep speed. He is also a tough and physical player who can make an impact as a blocker in the run game.

McKitty has shown the ability to be a solid contributor in a variety of roles on the offensive side of the ball and could have success doing something similar at the next level. He should have value as a No. 2 tight end who can play inline, as a fullback and even lined up out wide.

2021 NFL mock draft: Round 6, 210th overall

6. S. Auburn. 842. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Jamien Sherwood. player

Jamien Sherwood is not the most exciting athlete at the safety position, but he is a smart and physical player who always seems to be around the ball. Sherwood is not the kind of player who you want to line up and take responsibilities in deep zone coverage, but he can fill well against the run and shows impressive instincts in short zone coverage.

I like the idea of Sherwood as a linebacker/safety hybrid at the next level who can help the defense support the run while also getting another defensive back on the field. He also shows the ability to be an impact player on special teams. Not a bad choice for Buffalo with their final pick of this mock draft.
