2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 29th overall

WR. Kadarius Toney. 29. 15. Scouting Report. Florida. player. Pick Analysis

With Drew Brees likely moving on after the season, the New Orleans Saints could look much different next year. That being said, no matter who is taking snaps for the Saints under center, expect Sean Payton to continue to build his offensive attack around the passing game.

Whether Brees is back or the Saints are forced to go in another direction, they could certainly use some more playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. In particular, the Saints need to find wide receivers who can change the game.

Kadarius Toney was absolutely incredible for Florida this past season, taking his game to the next level as a dynamic playmaker at the wide receiver position. Toney has always been an exciting playmaker with the ball in his hands but he significantly improved his route running in his final college season, separating from the defense with ease on a consistent basis.

Toney is an extremely quick and shifty playmaker who is difficult to bring down in space. He has fantastic natural elusiveness with the ball in his hands and incredible contact balance for a wide receiver. He has a knack for escaping the defense, giving him the ability to score from anywhere on the field.

Toney is an impact wide receiver prospect who should be a first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Saints already have a good situation for a new quarterback but adding Toney to the mix helps take their unit to the next level.
