2021 NFL mock draft: Round 6, 197th overall

Finally, we see the Chicago Bears make a pick on the defensive side of the ball in this 2021 NFL mock draft. While their defense is in good shape, there is certainly room for improvement at certain positions and depth at the cornerback position stands out as a need for the team.

Here in the sixth-round, the Bears snag USC cornerback Olaijah Griffin. Griffin is a former five-star recruit who never reached his ceiling in college but the long-term upside is certainly still there. Griffin is an impressive natural athlete who is smooth in coverage, changes directions quickly and closes on the ball in an instant.

His slight frame is a concern but his long arms are a significant advantage. Griffin is not the most polished prospect but he certainly has the talent to grow into an impact player for the team.

2021 NFL mock draft: Round 6, 215th overall

Jeremiah Moon is an under-developed edge rusher who is unlikely to make an immediate impact at the next level. That being said, his quick feet, great flexibility and strong overall athleticism undoubtedly give him a high ceiling at the next level. Moon undoubtedly has a lot of work to do but he could certainly has the talent to become a major steal for this team in this range.

SMU wide receiver Reggie Roberson Jr. missed most of the 2020 season with a knee injury and it will undoubtedly hurt his 2021 NFL Draft stock. In fact, Roberson could easily end up deciding to return to SMU for another season. However, if he does declare, Roberson should be on the radar for teams late.

Roberson is a smooth wide receiver prospect who has a knack for creating space in the middle of the field. He also tracks the ball in the air extremely well and shows fantastic body control when he is in the air. The injury is a concern but Roberson is a gifted wide receiver prospect who could certainly provide quality depth for the Bears at an important position of need.
