Round 2, 41st Overall

USC. Amon-Ra St. Brown. 2. player. 808. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR

The Miami Dolphins need to do whatever they can to put Tua Tagovailoa in a position to succeed going forward. If that means spending two premium picks on wide receivers in the same draft, so be it. The trade down earlier coupled with the extra picks that they already had affords them this opportunity.

Here at No. 41 overall in this 2021 NFL mock draft, the Miami Dolphins add USC wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown to their offensive attack. St. Brown is a smooth operator out of the slot who shows the ability to make an impact in the short, intermediate and deep passing game. He is a fantastic route runner who can create space against nearly any defensive back and shows some exciting ability after the catch as well.

St. Brown has a great combination of speed and quickness that makes him an exciting weapon out of the slot at the next level. A wide receiver trio of DeVonta Smith, DeVonte Parker and Amon-Ra St. Brown would help take Tagovailoa’s game to the next level and set the offense up for a ton of long-term success.

Round 2, 55th Overall

Pick Analysis. RB. UNC. Scouting Report. Javonte Williams. 2. player. 838

The Dolphins have mixed and matched with a bunch of uninspiring options at the running back position all season long. With so much draft capital available, Miami would be wise to target a potential franchise back this offseason. In this 2021 NFL mock draft, Javonte Williams stands out as an obvious target for the Dolphins in this range.

Williams is a big and powerful runner who is incredibly difficult to bring down by any one defender. He is a smart and instinctive runner who finds the hole quickly and shows good speed in the open field. While his combination of speed and quickness is certainly interesting, it is Williams’ power that really stands out. He is extremely powerful at the point of attack and does a fantastic job of keeping his feet moving through contact.

Simply put, Williams is an extremely talented running back prospect who should be able to come in and make an immediate impact at the next level. The Miami Dolphins continue to build a strong offensive attack with the selection of Williams with their third and final second-round pick of this 2021 NFL mock draft.
