Round 5, 142nd Overall

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OL. Sadarius Hutcherson. 5. 850. South Carolina. player

Sadarius Hutcherson is a big and powerful offensive lineman who absolutely dominates opposing defenders at the point of attack. He is a dominant run blocker who also moves fairly well in pass protection. Hutcherson will likely be best suited as an offensive guard at the next level but has some tackle experience as well. If nothing else, he would be a rock-solid and versatile depth piece for the New York Jets.

Round 5, 153rd Overall

USC. player. 5. 808. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. Olaijah Griffin

Olaijah Griffin never lived up to his five-star billing in college. He came to USC as a top-tier cornerback prospect who had an obvious future at the next level. Griffin still shows a strong skill-set in coverage but does struggle against big and strong receivers. His lack of functional strength is obvious and Griffin could stand to add some bulk to his frame going forward.

Griffin does show an impressive combination of length and athleticism that gives him exciting upside as a man-to-man defender. He also displays solid ball skills and understands his coverage responsibilities well. The Jets need to improve their stock of talent at the cornerback position and while Griffin is not a perfect player, he does have some exciting upside that is worth betting on in this range.

Round 6, 193rd Overall

Arizona State. Frank Darby. 854. Scouting Report. WR. 6. player. Pick Analysis

With their final pick of this 2021 NFL mock draft, the New York Jets add another offensive playmaker to the mix. Frank Darby shows good quickness at the line of scrimmage, showing the ability to release from press coverage in an efficient manner. He is also a solid route runner who shows the ability to separate from man coverage but also competes well in contested-catch situations.

Darby is not the most explosive athlete at the wide receiver position but he is a tough and physical player who can undoubtedly make an impact at the next level. Darby is also a versatile player who could make an impact for the team on the outside and out of the slot. He is a rock-solid player who feels like a good value pick this late.
