Washington Football Team 2nd-round pick

Getting a quarterback in the first round, the Washington Football Team would need to be intentional shortly thereafter about getting a cornerstone piece at the left tackle position.

While this year’s draft class may not have a bunch of guys worthy of top 10 picks like the 2020 class did, there is some nice depth.

Brady Christensen of BYU is a favorite of the analytics people this season, to be certain.

He has been ascending stride for stride with his quarterback — potential top 10 pick Zach Wilson — and now could wind up being a top 40-50 pick himself.

At this point, opinions are not unanimous about Christensen as far as his projection to the next level. Some have him as a top 150 kind of guy, while others, like Dan’s mock draft, have him right on the cusp of the first round.

If he can play as well in the NFL as he has at BYU, he could be an ideal blind side protector for Trey Lance.
