2021 NFL Draft: Round 2, 48th Overall

Scouting Report. Pittsburgh. Paris Ford. player. 52. Pick Analysis. S. 48

This pick comes to the Jacksonville Jaguars via the Minnesota Vikings

The Jaguars worked on their offense in the first round of this mock draft, but address the defense for the second pick in a row here. Paris Ford is a rangy and athletic safety prospect who can shine in a deep-zone role. That being said, he is also a tough and physical player who can come up and offer support against the run.

There is a lot to like about Ford’s game, as he shows the ability to impact the game in a variety of ways. The Jags are not anywhere close to being serious contenders so simply stacking more talent by adding Ford to the mix would make plenty of sense.

2021 NFL Draft: Round 2, 49th Overall

Clemson. Derion Kendrick. 49. 53. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. player

Denzel Ward has grown into a great cornerback for the Cleveland Browns, but they do lack impact depth at the position. With this pick, the Browns address their cornerback depth by adding Clemson’s Derion Kendrick to the mix.

Kendrick is an extremely raw player who is still learning the position, but he has all of the physical tools needed to be a star. Kendrick is smooth in coverage and explosive when closing on the ball. He also has tremendous natural ball skills and is only going to get better with more cornerback reps.

2021 NFL Draft: Round 2, 50th Overall

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Chris Olave. 50. player. WR. Ohio State. 35

The depth of the wide receivers in the 2021 NFL Draft class continues to shine through. Chris Olave is a big and explosive target on the outside who always seems to find his way open. He is a smooth operator in space, shaking defenders with ease both with and without the ball. Wide receiver is not a massive need for the Titans, but it is a spot that could use some improvement. Bringing Olave on board would raise the ceiling of the entire offense.
