2021 NFL Draft: Round 2, 45th Overall

TE. Miami (FL). Brevin Jordan. Scouting Report. 45. player. 87. Pick Analysis

The Carolina Panthers have put together an interesting group of offensive players who could grow into an extremely explosive unit. They addressed an offensive line need earlier and here they are able to add another exciting playmaker to the mix.

Brevin Jordan is not much of a threat as a blocker, but he is a dynamic receiving threat from the wide receiver position. Jordan is a quick and precise route runner who is often able to find space and is particularly impressive as a run-after-catch receiver. The Panthers already have a lot of weapons in the passing game, but Jordan is could help take the unit to the next level.

2021 NFL Draft: Round 2, 46th Overall

Scouting Report. 46. player. 57. Pick Analysis. QB. Cincinnati. Desmond Ridder

Desmond Ridder may not be the quarterback that the Chicago Bears want, but their current draft position limits their options. Trask falling to them in the second round would be ideal, but taking a shot on Cincinnati’s Desmond Ridder here is certainly interesting.

Ridder is not the most polished passer at this point of his career, but he has an exciting combination of athleticism and arm talent that is worth betting on in this range. In this scenario, the Bears bring Ridder along slowly and hope he shows enough to eventually earn a chance to start for the team. Ridder is not guaranteed to ever be a premier starting option, but his upside makes him an interesting second-round flyer.

2021 NFL Draft: Round 2, 47th Overall

Scouting Report. Marvin Wilson. 47. Pick Analysis. IDL. Florida State. player. 47

Marvin Wilson took a step back this season and his 2021 NFL Draft stock suffered. That being said, he is still a big and athletic interior defensive lineman who has a ton of natural upside at the next level. The Patriots bet on his raw upside as a disruptive interior force with their second-round selection of this mock draft.
