2021 NFL Draft: Round 3, 67th Overall

IDL. Christian Barmore. 829. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Alabama. 3. player

The run on impact defensive prospects continues for the Dallas Cowboys here as they add interior defensive lineman Christian Barmore with their first of three picks in the third round. Barmore has not been as dominant as we were hoping this season, but he is clearly an extremely talented player who will receive attention from many in the NFL.

Barmore is quick off of the ball and powerful at the point of attack. He has a knack for getting thin through the line of scrimmage, making him difficult to block as he attacks the gap. Barmore has a ton of upside as a penetrating interior defensive lineman at the next level and would be worth taking a chance on in this range of the 2021 NFL Draft.

2021 NFL Draft: Round 3, 71st Overall

Northern Iowa. 3. 123. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OT. Spencer Brown. player

Lack of offensive line depth has been a major issue for the Dallas Cowboys this season and they simply must address the position over the offseason. Spencer Brown did not play against the highest level of competition in college, but he is a big, athletic and powerful offensive tackle who shows plenty of promise as a pass protector and run blocker.

The Senior Bowl will be an important event for Brown, as he will have an opportunity to prove himself against some of the best college football players in the country. If he performs well in Mobile, Brown’s stock will be on the rise, making him a worthy addition for a team like Dallas in this range.

2021 NFL Draft: Round 3, 99th Overall

player. 878. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Iowa. 3. OL. Alaric Jackson

Alaric Jackson has been a strong starting left tackle at Iowa for a while now and undoubtedly has a bright future at the next level. He is an extremely strong offensive lineman who is dominant at the point of attack and clears out lanes with ease in the run game. Jackson is not the most athletic offensive lineman around and always seems to play better when he is allowed to attack and play forward.

Jackson could have a nice future as an offensive tackle, but I personally like him better as a guard at the next level. On the inside, Jackson could be more aggressive and use his raw power to his advantage on a consistent basis. The Dallas Cowboys add more impact offensive line depth with the selection of Jackson here.
