Round 2, 44th Overall

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 839. OL. Tennessee. Trey Smith. 44

Snagging a true offensive tackle here would probably be better, but Trey Smith stands out as too much of a value to ignore. Smith is a big and powerful offensive lineman who is absolutely dominant at the point of attack. He is a legitimate road grader who clears out holes with ease in the run game and has also shown the ability to hold his own in pass protection.

Smith spent his early college years at left tackle but made the move to guard after missing some time due to some serious blood clotting issues. As long as the health issues are behind him, Smith will be an impact offensive lineman at the next level. He is likely better suited as an offensive guard, but I would not blame a team for trying him back out at tackle to begin his career. Whether he plays inside or outside, Smith would undoubtedly be a major addition for the Panthers.

Round 3, 75th Overall

817. Scouting Report. player. Kary Vincent Jr.. 75. Pick Analysis. CB. LSU

Kary Vincent Jr. is a quick and smooth cornerback prospect who shines in man-to-man coverage. He shows impressive natural instincts and strong overall ball skills on the outside. His combination of speed, quickness, athleticism and ball skills makes him an extremely exciting cornerback prospect who could easily end up going much earlier than this.

Vincent does not offer much support against the run, but he undoubtedly has a massive ceiling in coverage. Cornerback stands out as a major position of need for the Carolina Panthers and Vincent feels like a great value in this range.
