Round 4, Pick 112

Actual 2020 NFL Draft selection: Joshua Kelley, RB, UCLA
Re-Draft selection: Troy Dye, LB, Oregon

After making two picks in the first round, the Los Angeles Chargers had a long wait to make another selection. When they finally went on the clock early in the fourth, they took running back Joshua Kelley. Kelley is a quick and tough back who can make an impact for this team, but I like the value of linebacker Troy Dye better at this pick.

After not taking the linebacker earlier in this re-draft, the Chargers find a good opportunity to fill that need here. Dye is an extremely active and aggressive linebacker prospect who shows impressive range on the second level. He also shows solid block shed ability, good instincts in coverage and is a reliable tackler in space. Dye is not as good as Kenneth Murray, but he could fill a similar role for this team.

Round 5, Pick 151

Actual 2020 NFL Draft selection: Joe Reed, WR, Virginia
Re-Draft selection: Kenny Robinson, S, West Virginia

Joe Reed is an exciting playmaker with the ball in his hands who will likely make an impact for the Los Angeles Chargers on special teams. I strongly considered keeping this pick the same, but there is some room for improvement. Just one pick after the Chargers took Reed at No. 151, the Carolina Panthers scooped up safety Kenny Robinson.

Robinson has tremendous natural ball skills on the back-end and shows good range in coverage. He has impressive upside as a deep safety at the next level and also shows the ability to come up and make plays against the run. This guy simply has a nose for the football and would have helped the Los Angeles Chargers on both defense and special teams. Reed was a good pick, but Robinson would have been a better one.
