Quarterback and the other top 2020 NFL Draft needs for Indianapolis Colts
Pass Catchers
I am grouping wide receiver and tight end together here, but both positions are legitimate needs for this team. Let’s start with wide receiver. T.Y. Hilton is obviously great, but at 31-years-old, it’s not like he has a ton of prime years left in him. The Colts did draft Parris Campbell in the second round last year, but they should be looking for a long-term running-mate for Campbell at the wide receiver position.
The 2020 NFL Draft is absolutely loaded with impact talent at depth at the wide receiver position and I would not be surprised to see the Colts snag one early. Guys like Tee Higgins, Jalen Reagor, Brandon Aiyuk, Michael Pittman Jr. and Donovan Peoples-Jones would make a lot of sense for this team with one of their second-round picks.
Colts head coach Frank Reich loves to feature the tight end position and after letting Eric Ebron walk in free agency, they will likely look to add some tight end depth in the 2020 NFL Draft. Jack Doyle is a solid starting option and a guy like Mo Alie-Cox could see an expanded role in 2020. However, they could still use some quality depth at the position and while this tight end class is not loaded, there are some interesting later-round options.
A tight end like Harrison Bryant or Albert Okwuegbunam early on Day 3 would make sense for the Indianapolis Colts, as would someone like Jared Pinkney or Dalton Keene a bit later.
