Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge fan of Javon Kinlaw from South Carolina. He is a top-15 overall prospect on my big board. However, if the Atlanta Falcons are looking to move up in the 2020 NFL Draft to take an impact interior linemen, go for the best guy available at that position.

Also, I believe Derrick Brown is a better fit for the current roster construction of the Atlanta Falcons than Kinlaw at this point. With Grady Jarrett on the inside, the Falcons have their nimble, quick pass-rushing presence. What they’re missing is the big-bodied, run game presence that can take up double-teams and even win on almost every down.

Brown is one of those players where his impact won’t always be felt in the box score, but his ability to create one-on-one situations for his fellow pass-rushers would be so beneficial for what the Atlanta Falcons currently have.

Brown has NFL-ready play strength and is ready to make an impact day one. They don’t make 325-pounders move the way he does either. His combine was slightly disappointing and forced many evaluators to go back to the tape to check and see if they perhaps missed some athletic deficiencies, yet the tape held up.

Though his numbers weren’t overly impressive, Brown’s tape is phenomenal and looks like one of the more athletic interior prospects in the 2020 NFL Draft with some of the best size and strength.
