2020 NFL Draft: Four-Round 2020 NFL mock draft with exciting trades
The Atlanta Falcons are extremely likely to add a defensive prospect in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Cornerback, interior defensive line and edge rusher stand out as their biggest needs on the roster and Atlanta would be wise to take the best available player at one of those positions.
In this mock draft, former Florida cornerback C.J. Henderson stands out as the pick. After cutting Desmond Trufant earlier this offseason, the Falcons now have a major hole at the cornerback position and Henderson could immediately come in and help fill it.
Henderson is a quick and athletic cornerback prospect who shows tremendous natural upside in college. He is extremely smooth in space, mirrors opposing receivers well and shows fantastic natural instincts in coverage. Henderson also breaks on the ball quickly and shows strong overall ball skills.
Henderson is not the toughest and physical defender against the run, but he shows tremendous overall coverage ability and fantastic upside on the outside. Hopefully, he becomes a more willing tackler at the next level but his obvious ability in coverage makes him worthy in this range. In Henderson, the Falcons take a player who could quickly grow into a premier player at the cornerback position.
