Trade Alert!

Minnesota Vikings receive: 14th overall 2020 NFL Draft pick
Tampa Bay Buccaneers receive: 22nd overall 2020 NFL Draft pick and 2nd Round 2020 NFL Draft pick (58th overall)

Pick Analysis. Oklahoma. player. Scouting Report. WR. CeeDee Lamb. 14. 60

With all of the top-tier offensive tackles off of the board, a trade down makes sense for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers here. Right tackle is far and away their biggest need on the roster and there simply is not a player who is currently available worth taking at the position here. Instead of forcing a pick, the Bucs find a trade partner and with CeeDee Lamb arguably the best player available, the Minnesota Vikings are the team coming up.

The Vikings traded away Stefon Diggs earlier this offseason, leaving a massive hole for the team at the wide receiver position. With Lamb falling down the board a bit, the Vikings use some of their extra draft capital to come up and bring him into the mix.

Lamb is an extremely talented wide receiver who shows tremendous play-making skills at the position. He has a knack for finding the open space in the defense and does a great job of fighting for the ball in the air. Lamb is a physical receiver who has a wide catch radius and impressive contested-catch ability. He is also a tremendous playmaker with the ball in his hands.

Lamb is not the fastest or most explosive receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft class, but he is a consistent playmaker who should be able to come in and make an immediate impact. Pairing Lamb with Adam Thielen could quickly give the Vikings one of the best wide receiver duos in the entire NFL. This is a trade that would make sense for both sides and a player/team pairing that could take the Vikings’ offense to the next level.
