Scouting Report. Alabama. Jedrick Wills Jr.. player. Pick Analysis. OT. 6. 58

I really like this scenario for the Washington Redskins. In the trade down, they replace the second-round pick that they don’t currently have and add a first-round pick for next year. At No. 6, they are able to fill their biggest need at offensive tackle.

Jedrick Wills Jr. is the best offensive tackle in the 2020 NFL Draft class. He played right tackle at Alabama but has all of the necessary skills to take over at left tackle for Washington if needed. Wills has an impressive combination of quickness and power and is an incredibly tough and tenacious player. He is a dominant run blocker and strong pass protector who could come in and stabilize the Redskins’ offensive line situation.

player. Pick Analysis. IDL. Derrick Brown. 7. 87. Scouting Report. Auburn

I considered trading down with the Carolina Panthers here, but there simply was not a logical trade partner to work with. It always takes two to tango. The Panthers appear ready to go into some sort of rebuild situation and just need to keep finding good football players.

Derrick Brown disappointed at the NFL Scouting Combine, but he is an absolute game-wreaker in the middle of the defense who should be able to come in and make an immediate impact. Brown is an absolute powerhouse at the defensive tackle position who shows impressive quickness off of the snap. He is a dominant run defender who also shows plenty of upside as an interior pass rusher.

OT. Tristan Wirfs. 8. Scouting Report. Iowa. player. 32. Pick Analysis

After trading for DeAndre Hopkins, an offensive tackle selection makes the most sense for the Arizona Cardinals at No. 8. Tristan Wirfs is an athletic freak up front who moves extremely well in space. He is also powerful at the point of attack and shows great technique in pass protection.

Wirfs is a ready-made offensive tackle prospect who could come in and immediately contribute for the Cardinals at the right tackle position. He would be a massive upgrade at the position for Arizona and help quarterback Kyler Murray and the entire offense grow.

player. Georgia. Andrew Thomas. OT. 9. 59. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

After trading down to No. 9, the Miami Dolphins have put themselves in a perfect position to take one of the premier offensive tackles in the class. Here, Andrew Thomas makes the most sense for the team. Thomas is an extremely smart and tough offensive tackle prospect who has a ton of experience at the left tackle position.

He is powerful at the point of attack and moves relatively well in space. The Dolphins could select Thomas, immediately place him at left tackle and build their offensive line around him.

Scouting Report. Mekhi Becton. 10. player. 53. Pick Analysis. OT. Louisville

The Cleveland Browns have put together an impressive group of players on both sides of the ball but struggled to put together a competent offensive line last season. The addition of Jack Conklin in free agency will certainly help, but there is still more work to do. Mekhi Becton is a massive man who moves extremely well for his size. He has enormous natural upside at the next level and could quickly become an incredibly important player for the Browns.
