2020 NFL Draft: Las Vegas Raiders first round targets
Wide Receivers
One position that’s an obvious target for the Las Vegas Raiders is wide receiver. Tyrell Williams signed with the Raiders last offseason, but they need more help on the outside. Luckily, the draft class is deep and they can afford to target one in the first round.
12th Pick: Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III, Alabama
The 12th overall pick is probably the floor for Jerry Jeudy right now. With a deep class, some teams will opt to pass on the top talent for options on day two. This could mean Jeudy could fall into the Raiders lap. Jeudy is a phenomenal talent that could play on the perimeter or in the slot, and has great route running ability, a wicked release, and plenty of speed to go vertical. He would be productive from day one.
If not Jeudy, Ruggs would be also be an excellent get for the Raiders. Ruggs has even more game-changing speed than Jeudy, and he would fit in an offense that can work vertically or a quick offense that uses Ruggs’ speed after the catch. He can also make great contested catches down the field.
19th Pick: Tee Higgins, Clemson
If the Raiders wait until the 19th pick to select a receiver, the Alabama duo will likely be gone.
Luckily, Tee Higgins could be available at this spot. Higgins has the size and speed combo that’s been a staple of the Raiders for a long time. He can win vertically with speed and be a red zone machine. Higgins can also be the number one guy for the Raiders.
