Corners

Another big position to target for the Las Vegas Raiders is corner. After trading away Gareon Conley, there’s some room on the roster for a number one at the position to play alongside developing corner Trayvon Mullen. Here’s who they could be looking at.

12th Pick: Kristian Fulton, LSU

The Raiders are definitely out of position to draft Okudah barring a trade up, something I doubt they do for a corner. So the top target for them at the 12th overall selection is LSU’s Kristian Fulton. Fulton hasn’t gotten a ton of buzz yet this season outside of his Senior Bowl invite, but that’s a good thing.

Fulton has been an excellent cover corner all season long, even holding his own against Alabama. He will get a big test this coming Monday against Clemson, and I expect him to hold his own.

Fulton is great man to man, with great change of direction skills and the speed to hang with defenders down the field. He’s also no stranger to playing near the line of scrimmage.

19th Pick: A.J. Terrell, Clemson, Jeff Gladney, TCU

If the Raiders don’t select Fulton with the 12th pick, the opportunity to draft him may slip away. The good news is that the corner class looks very good at the top, so options at the 19th pick exist.

One name teams aren’t talking about enough is Clemson’s A.J. Terrell. He is just a junior, so he may ultimately decide to return. However, Terrell has plenty of skills that will intrigue the Raiders. Terrell has the size and speed to deal with receivers at the NFL level, while also possessing great instincts and a knack for finding the football.

If not Terrell, Jeff Gladney is a name to watch for the Raiders. He’s gotten some buzz as of late in the draft community, but the Senior Bowl will be his place to shine. Gladney has outstanding footwork whether playing off or at the line of scrimmage. He also has great ball skills, logging 26 pass breakups in the last two season. The Raiders may see him in Mobile and make him a target with this pick.
