2020 NFL Draft: CeeDee Lamb is WR1 in this first-round mock draft
Back to back defensive tackles as the Patriots look to sure up their defensive front as well. Another senior, the production from Raekwon Davis has varied throughout his Alabama career but the talent is there to be a force on an already scary defensive unit.
Davis has a great frame with incredible length for a defensive tackle. He can use his long arms to keep blockers at bay and then use his brute strength to move them aside and make a play. Davis could certainly improve his game from an athletic standpoint, but the tools are there to develop, and who better to develop them than Bill Belichick?
With the Patriots, Davis could work on his game, fill in here and there whenever needed, then take on a larger role down the road. The Pats need to make sure that their defensive dominance doesn’t go anywhere anytime soon and that all starts in the trenches. Raekwon Davis has the potential to develop into a very stout player, allowing the rich to get richer.
The Saints roster is one of the best in the league. I was hard-pressed to find any position that they need, but a wide receiver to compliment Michael Thomas stuck out to me so here sits Jalen Reagor. Reagor is an absolute burner who can beat you with his speed and athleticism. Being such an explosive athlete, Reagor should test well at the 2020 NFL Draft Combine and I would not be surprised at all if he ends up being a first-round pick.
Reagor had a breakout year in 2018, amassing over 1,000 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. This season Reagor has suffered from poor quarterback play, but the tape tells the tale. He is as explosive as they come and is a very sound route runner as well. He is elusive in space and can tale any ball to the house.
Having a down-the-field, dynamic playmaker would come in handy for the Saints. Michael Thomas is as reliable as they come in regards to intermediate throws. If the Saints can bring in a guy like Reagor to take the top off and open things up even more for Thomas, New Orleans will be extremely difficult to stop.
