Laviska Shenault Jr. (#2) – Colorado Buffaloes

2019 Season Stats: 52 receptions, 721 yards, 4 touchdowns

Of all the names on this list, Laviska Shenault Jr.has seen a lot of buzz throughout this draft season. A top receiver on many big boards, Shenault Jr. stands as one of the more versatile weapons in the 2020 NFL Draft as he plays basically every offensive position aside from offensive line. And while the stats may not be as flashy this year despite expectations, he’s still an intriguing prospect nonetheless.

But when I say he can play anywhere, I mean anywhere. While wide receiver is his natural position, at times Shenault Jr. can be seen lined up in the backfield as an h-back or at running back. Other times he can be found in a sort of tight role lined up next to a tackle.

Despite his thicker frame, Shenault Jr. has exceptional speed that allows him to make dynamic plays after the catch. While he lacks some polish as a route runner, his ability to concentrate on the ball and make contested catches is equally noteworthy. Matched with the proper coaching staff who can further develop his route running ability, Shenault Jr. has the potential to be an electric pro.

As for the game, I am most excited to see Shenault Jr. vs. Utah corner Jaylon Johnson. Johnson is one of the better corners in the nation, so to see he and Shenault Jr. battle this weekend will be an exciting watch for sure.
