Los Angeles Chargers 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft
Round 2, 43rd Overall: Austin Jackson, OT, USC
The offensive line has been a consistent issue for the Los Angeles Chargers this season. Whether it is Rivers, Herbert or someone else lining up under center for the Chargers next season, they need to invest resources into improving their offensive line.
With their second-round pick of this mock draft, the Chargers bring in a local product, USC left tackle Austin Jackson.

Jackson is a long and athletic offensive tackle who shows a ton of natural upside as a pass protector. He looks the part of a franchise left tackle and has the skill-set to have plenty of success at the position at the next level. Adding Jackson would be a great start to improving the Chargers’ offensive line situation.
Round 3, 75th Overall: Alaric Jackson, OT, Iowa
Back to the offensive line for the Chargers’ third-round selection, as they bring in Iowa offensive tackle Alaric Jackson. The Jackson out of Iowa also plays left tackle, but he is less of an obvious fit at the position in the NFL. He is a solid pass protector who should be able to hold his own, but Jackson is a more compact player who can play with power. He could make a move to the interior at the next level if needed.
Regardless of where he plays, Alaric Jackson is a rock-solid offensive line prospect who has a ton of game experience on one of the best offensive lines in the nation. He is an NFL-ready prospect who could make a difference for the Los Angeles Chargers up front.
Round 4, 107th Overall: Cameron Dantzler, CB, Mississippi State
It took a while, but the Los Angeles Chargers finally take themselves a defensive player in this mock draft. Cameron Dantzler has not been playing cornerback long, but it is easy to see how he could become a major playmaker at the position in the NFL.
Dantzler is an extremely quick and athletic cornerback prospect who shows tremendous natural ball skills. He is certainly a raw player who needs some work in order to reach his full potential, but Dantzler is a talented guy who could grow into something special at the cornerback position.
