Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. QB. Joe Burrow. LSU. 2. player. 59

Joe Burrow has not only been the best quarterback in college football this season, but he has also arguably been the best overall player. On the year, Burrow has completed 78.8 percent of his passes for 2,805 yards, 30 touchdowns and four interceptions. His meteoric rise from late day-three flyer to likely top-five selection has been incredible. Burrow is now clearly one of the most valuable players in the 2020 NFL draft class.

Burrow has taken his game to the next level this season. In LSU’s wide-open offense, Burrow looks completely comfortable and under control. He shows fantastic pocket presence, understanding where the pressure is coming from and getting away from it consistently. He also does a great job of keeping his eyes upfield, always looking to move the chains, even when he appears to be in trouble.

His overall arm talent is solid but unspectacular. Burrow is never going to blow you away with his arm strength, but he does have enough to make any throw on the football field and does throw a pretty deep ball. He is also an extremely accurate passer who understands when touch is needed on his passes.

The Miami Dolphins are going through a full rebuild and need a true franchise quarterback to lead the way. Burrow is a tough player and a great leader who steps up and makes plays in the biggest situations. He is the perfect guy to lead this franchise out of their rebuild and get them moving in the right direction.
