Scouting Report. QB. 2. 59. Pick Analysis. Alabama. Tua Tagovailoa. player

With the Bengals opting for Young with the first pick, the Miami Dolphins have their choice of quarterbacks here. While Joe Burrow is certainly under consideration, Tua Tagovailoa is still the top quarterback in the 2020 NFL draft class and should be the choice for the Dolphins here at number two.

Tagovailoa is currently dealing with an ankle injury, but it is not a long-term concern that will make any sort of impact on his 2020 NFL draft stock. Tua is still an elite-level quarterback prospect who undoubtedly has a bright future at the next level.

Tagovailoa’s best trait is his ability to place the ball and put touch on his passes when needed. Tua has fantastic accuracy to all levels of the field, leading his receivers well and putting the ball only where they can catch them. Tagovailoa hits the honey hole with ease down-the-field and does so with impressive natural touch.

His raw arm strength is not elite, but he has enough arm talent to make all of the throws needed to be a successful NFL quarterback. Tagovailoa can force the ball into tight spaces with velocity if needed.

He is also a smart quarterback prospect who understands coverages well and always stays calm in the pocket. Tua Tagovailoa is going to be the top quarterback prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft for most teams. He is a safe prospect who also has a nice ceiling at the next level. In this mock draft, the Miami Dolphins take Tagovailoa and make him the centerpiece of their complete rebuild.
