Colorado. 16. WR. Pick Analysis. Laviska Shenault Jr.. 25. player. Scouting Report

The Buffalo Bills have done a nice job of filling their wide receiver corps through free agency, but they still need a true number one receiver for Josh Allen to work with. The best-case scenario for the Bills would be finding a number one receiver who Allen could grow with. In this 2020 NFL draft scenario, the Bills bring in Colorado wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. to work with Allen.

Shenault is an extremely athletic wide receiver prospect who has a fantastic catch radius, is great in contested-catch situations and consistently makes plays after the catch. Once the ball is in his hands, Shenault shows impressive elusiveness in the open field. He can make defenders miss with quickness and finishes his runs like a powerful running back. Shenault is extremely physical at the point of contact and shows some impressive contact balance.

Shenault is a bit of an unorthodox wide receiver, but he is an incredibly talented player who could undoubtedly grow into a number one option for Josh Allen. A great pick for Buffalo here at number 25.

QB. player. Jordan Love. 26. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Utah State. 46

Jacoby Brissett has been great for the Indianapolis Colts this season and may have proven himself as their franchise quarterback going forward. However, I still cannot help but wonder if their ceiling is limited with him under center. Late in the first round of this mock draft, the Colts have a chance to take a shot on some upside at the quarterback position by bringing in Jordan Love out of Utah State.

Love is an extremely underdeveloped quarterback prospect whose numbers are less than impressive. That being said, he is an incredibly talented player who undoubtedly has great upside at the next level. Love shows great mobility in the pocket and throws well on the run. His accuracy is spotty and he needs to learn how to progress through his reads better, but Love has impressive arm talent that could lead him to become a true franchise quarterback at the next level.

In this scenario, the Colts could move forward with Brissett as their immediate starter. Meanwhile, Love sits on the bench and learns how to become a capable NFL starter behind him. If Brissett continues to make the job his, great. But if not, the Colts can eventually make the move to young and talented signal-caller.
