Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Justin Herbert. 10. player. 35. QB. Oregon

Marcus Mariota is a free agent this offseason and the Tennessee Titans need to use this opportunity to find another option at the quarterback position. Selecting 10th in this mock draft, the Titans find themselves in a perfect situation to land a new franchise signal-caller.

Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert is an incredibly gifted player who has all of the arm talent in the world. He can make any throw on the football field and he typically does so with precise accuracy. He can hit his receivers in stride with touch and also has the arm strength to fit the ball into tight spaces with velocity.

This season, Herbert has completed 68.1 percent of his passes for 1,882 yards, 21 touchdowns and only one interception. His numbers have been great but we would all like to see Herbert let it loose more often.

He has been extremely conservative this season, opting for the safe throw more often than not. While this may be a great sign for his on-field awareness, NFL offenses that opt to check down over-and-over again are rarely productive. Herbert’s hesitancy to push the ball down the field is concerning.

That being said, he is clearly a talented quarterback prospect who has plenty of upside at the next level. The Titans simply must address their quarterback situation and Herbert would be a great solution.
