2. Cincinnati Bengals: Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon

The Cincinnati Bengals most glaring need at the moment is on the offensive line, as they have allowed 19 sacks through just four games this season. That being said, they have proven to have so many more holes on that roster that it may just be time to let head coach Zac Taylor start a roster rebuild that begins with Oregon quarterback, Justin Herbert.

The Andy Dalton era has lasted too long at this point and it’s finally time for it to come to an end as the Bengals take Justin Herbert with their first pick of this 2020 NFL mock draft.

Herbert would have likely been a first-round pick if he had entered the 2019 draft, but he chose to return to school for his senior season where he’s done nothing but improve his stock.

He has shown improved accuracy from last year and has yet to throw an interception through four games.

Herbert is second in Oregon Ducks history in touchdown passes behind Marcus Mariota and has the size, athleticism and skill set that makes him the ideal prospect as a future franchise quarterback.

Cincinnati has had little to be excited about over the last few seasons, so Bengals fans deserve this much-needed spark.

Dalton’s contract is up after next season, so the transition would be smooth.
