Nobody will ever say he’s the next Ray Lewis, but the C.J. Mosley deserves a ton of credit for stepping into that shadow and carving out his own place in Baltimore Ravens defensive history. He just got done making his fourth Pro Bowl and guiding one of the best defenses in football. His value to the team from a playmaking and leadership standpoint can’t be understated.

The franchise tag is a possibility for the Ravens but it doesn’t seem like they intend to let that become an issue. Both sides are apparently intent on getting a deal done sooner than later. Mosley has more than earned the right to be the highest-paid inside linebacker in football and the Ravens should have enough cap space to make that happen.
