2. Golden Tate, Philadelphia Eagles

Age: 30

Golden Tate may be getting a little bit underrated heading into 2019 free agency because he was traded from the Detroit Lions to the Philadelphia Eagles and his production this past year didn’t match what he’s done throughout this career, but he’s still the same type of playmaker he’s always been.

Tate is like a running back after the catch and ranked in the top five among NFL receivers in that category from 2014-17.

For him to be that good after the catch for four straight seasons says a lot about his longevity in the NFL. Though his YAC per reception efficiency went down in 2018 overall, he was averaging 6.4 yards after the catch with the Lions and that number is about what we’ve come to expect from him throughout his NFL career.

Though he’s now crossed the age 30 threshold, Tate has the skill set to give some team a significant boost in their offense, especially one where he can be a high volume target. He’s been primarily a slot player the past two seasons but has experience moving around the entire offensive formation.
